The Programs Team meets the mission of our school by helping students learn and grow through activities outside the classroom, offering afterschool clubs, athletic programs, homework help, a mentor program, and legal programming with our law partners.

Civil Rights Trip

The Civil Rights Trip was created two years ago to provide our students the opportunity to experience history in-person. Over a 10-day journey, students and staff travel to key cities in the Civil Rights Movement allowing our students to gain skills and insights about themselves and their family history; in doing so, they gained a deeper connection to their roots and a greater understanding of the impact they can have in their communities.

This year, the Civil Rights Trip was a virtual experience over a span of three months. Watch the Zoom recordings from the events featuring guest speakers who are activist, lawyers, and historians of that period.
