College & Alumni
Dedicated college counselors, Senior Seminar, SAT preparation, college visits, scholarship programs, Advanced Placement and Dual Enrollment Courses, and financial planning workshops help students and families prepare for college. As alumni, graduates are provided essential post-graduation aid in the form of transitional, social-emotional, and critically needed financial resources.
Class of 2021
There are 78 seniors in the class of 2021.
71 have received at least ONE college acceptance.
They submitted over 950 applications to over 250 colleges.
As a class, they received over 460 acceptances.
To date, the senior class has earned over $6.9M in merit-based scholarships from colleges.
2021 Art Scholarship
Alumni Christian Yanez and YaVondai Covington, inspired by their passion for the arts, collaborated to develop a scholarship opportunity for a graduating senior to use toward their first year of college. Tamara Johnson
Class of 2010Tamara graduated from Thurgood Marshall Academy in 2010 and went on to become the school’s first-ever lawyer.
